My first day of school was supposed to be tomorrow. Since I can’t set up my classroom, I had fun making this little virtual room just as cute, with clickable links for my students to explore. Tomorrow, I’ll be Zooming with 31 students

We are so thankful to live on the beautiful California coast! My kids beg to go to the beach almost every week. They get to play and I get to soak up some vitamin D. We love our beach days! ☀️ 🏖

This was one of the last days I spent in my second grade classroom back in May. I spent hours organizing all of my students projects, books, and materials. I was able to see a lot of my students the following day when I passed out their bags full o

Sometimes you have to slow down, get out the watercolors, and just let your students paint. We made these directed drawings a few weeks ago, but I had been putting off painting them because my students this year tend to get a little too noisy when d

In my classroom, the helper of the day gets to choose a story on CD to share with the class after lunch. The kids look forward to that time to cool off and relax after playing, and I love the few moments it gives me to catch my breath! We are build

My students love building their weekly spelling words with our movable alphabet letters during their Word Work Center time in our Daily 5 Stations. I use this as a “may do” after they’ve finished their seat work, which is usually a

Today was our annual “Diorama Work Day”. I opened up my classroom for our second graders to come with their parents for 2 hours after school to get supplies or help with their dioramas. All of my 2nd grade team was here to help their kid

These are the bunny bags we made last year. They are even cuter when they’re opened up with grass and goodies inside, but of course I can’t find a pic of that, so you’ll have to take my word for it! 💕🐰 #teacherspayteachers #secon

It’s diorama time! My students were so excited to take home their shoeboxes today, along with their Animal Report folders and project directions. I’ve got a sneak peek at what all went home inside the folders in my stories! I’ll

I am so in love with these adorable bunnies! Thank you @proudtobeprimary for this awesome directed drawing. My students were so proud of how well they turned out! 🐰 #kidsneedart #teachersofinstagram #teachersfollowteachers #teacherspayteachers #ea

It’s already that time of year again... when I start thinking about end of year projects and Open House! We have done animal dioramas forever in my second grade class, and they are SO much fun! We send all the instructions home with a shoe bo
